Can I substitute or add another ingredient to your recipe?
For optimal results, I recommend using the specified ingredients listed in the recipe. I understand that you may have dietary restrictions or simply do not have the ingredient on hand, but please remember that by using a substitution, I cannot speak for how much this will change in the overall taste or texture of the dish without further recipe testing.
What is the nutritional information for this recipe?
In most of my recipes, nutritional information is not available, as this can vary based on servings and ingredient substitutions. However, I suggest copying and pasting the recipe’s ingredients into this form, which will calculate the nutritional values for you.
What is the metric conversion for this measurement?
I would suggest searching Google for a measurement converter for any measurement conversion questions, as I don’t use metric measurements in my cooking.
I tried one of your recipes, but it did not succeed. What did I do wrong?
Unfortunately, I cannot be sure what went wrong without more information. Keep in mind that substituting ingredients and misinterpreting directions may significantly alter your recipe outcome. All of the recipes I share have been successful and well-tested in my own kitchen, but I understand that mishaps may happen. You’re welcome to contact me so that we can figure out how to help you succeed with the recipe!
What is the best way to store this recipe? How long will it keep?
I will provide storage methods and shelf life suggestions for a recipe, if necessary. If this information is not provided, I suggest using your best judgment and the storage method you are most comfortable with. My personal preference for most recipes is typically a resealable plastic bag or container.
Can I freeze this recipe?
I will provide instructions and tips on dishes that I have frozen myself, but unfortunately, I do not freeze all of my recipes so I cannot always answer this question. Please use your best judgment for freezing and reheating.
Why don’t you have recipe reviews instead of comments?
This is one of the only factors of the website I cannot (but wish!) I could control. It’s up to my readers to decide whether they want to leave a review on a recipe. Unfortunately, reviews are something I cannot influence, only encourage.
Are you coming out with a cookbook?
Yes! My e-cookbook featuring easy recipes with 6 ingredients or less will be released in the spring of 2015. I will keep you updated on all the delicious details as they emerge!
How do I sign up for email updates to stay informed about new recipes?
You can sign up by typing your email address into the text box on the right side of the screen. You’ll then receive email updates right into your inbox when a new post appears. It’s an easy, fast and free way to keep up-to-date!
Can I contribute a guest post to your site?
I am not accepting guest posts on my site at this time. In addition, I do not contribute guest posts to other blogs or trade links for exposure.
How do you edit your photos?
I edit with Photoshop, always photograph in natural daylight, and use minimal props, including wood boards, cloth napkins and simple white dishes.
